If you think about Yahoo!, the site’s main focus from the beginning has been helping people communicate and providing access to anything and everything you could hope to find. It then stands to reason that, if you’re hoping for someone to communicate with as part of the end of your search for true love, Yahoo should be able to fit the bill, right?

The distinction here is that the main Yahoo! Personals site lets pretty much everything go. But if you’re sure you want a more long-term relationship, the cost goes up, but so does the quality at the Premier site. This is Yahoo’s destination for those who are sure they want to settle down.

The first benefit is before you even sign up: Whereas most sites may offer you a teaser view before they get your money, Yahoo! gives you full, detailed search capabilities before you ever sign up. Mini profiles pop up with pictures and “overall fit,” rated 1 to 5 hearts, based on your criteria. Photos are a good size, larger than standard thumbnails on most sites, and you can arrange them in gallery or slideshow format depending how you want to view things.
You can take a “Personality & Love Test,” a “Relationship Test” and post and view/hear video or voice greetings as a free member. As a paid member, you can send and reply to e-mails and instant messages through the site.
