A dating site founded on Valentine’s Day must have a certain kismet working for it. For more than 10 years, Date.com has brought men and woman together in an exciting, tastefully handled place to meet the love of the rest of your life. Slightly more than half of the membership is male, which is a draw as sites with lots of sex seekers and few men really seeking to connect have a much higher male-to-female ratio.
It’s easy to sign up and jump right in. If you’re at all uncomfortable, there’s lots of profile-building help along the way. Signing up on the site is free and includes a 7-day trial. You also get a free subscription to a newsletter from DoubleYourDating.com. You can also get a Date.com toolbar that keeps you constantly logged onto the site and alerts you as soon as anybody messages you.
Subscription plans are auto-renewal, and include

What do I get from Date.com?
Working off the tag “Every relationship begins with a date,” the site boasts ease of use and the expert input of relationship advisor Anna David, who writes frequent columns for the site.
The site’s online magazine, Date.info, is well done, and details effective tips on writing profiles, relationship advice and user feedback. Little touches throughout the site show it’s done with care and a genuine desire to help. Also, the Date Mobile service lets you browse members using your cell phone. Stuck in traffic? Demographically, the site has something for everyone. Date.com is an easy to setup, simple to navigate site with a large membership that is professionally monitored (as a test, I posted a spam profile that was deleted from the site in less than 15 minutes – a very good test of what is tolerated and what is not. Blatant 1-night-stand seekers are dealt with in much the same manner). There are loads of articles and columns to help you along not only the profile process, but the dating process itself. The focus is ease of use and communication, with a caring environment and help along the way.
